Kate Staples (Zodiac from Gladiators)

Kate Staples is a former top pole vaulter and was once ranked number 8 in the world for indoor athletics in 1996. Kate broke 42 British records and 12 Commonwealth records during her amazing career. Vanessa Feltz is no stranger to the media world. In an illustrious career, Vanessa started out as a journalist, working for She magazine, The Daily Mirror and The Jewish Chronicle. Having been invited to BBC GLR radio to talk about one of her columns, Vanessa was later asked to become a presenter on the station. This led to numerous other opportunities in both Radio and TV.

Some of the highlights include: an agony aunt spot on Richard & Judy, the UK’s first ever Oprah Winfrey style talk show, ‘Vanessa’ on Anglia Television (1994-98), as an interviewer on The Big Breakfast and, of course, as a participant in Celebrity Big Brother.

In 2003, she moved to the BBC where she has both presented shows and appeared on many others. She is currently a presenter on BBC Radio London (Mon-Sat mornings), tackling the topical issues affecting Londoners.
